Experimental Study on the Effects of Sohamhyungtang and Gamisohamhyungtang upon Hypertension and Hyperlipidemia

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate the effects of Sohamhyungtang and Gamisohamhyungtang experimental studies were performed in hyperlipidemia Rats induced by cholesterol at olive oil and Spontaneously hypertension Rats. The contents of serum total
cholesterol,
triglyceride, phospholipid, free fatty acid, HDL-cholesterol and LDL-choesterol and changes of weight, blood pressure and heart beat were measured.
@ES The results were summerized as follows;
@EN 1) The content of Total Cholesterol in the serum was all significantly decreased in Sohamhyungtang group and Gamisohamhyungtang group.
2) The content of Triglyceride in the serum was all significantly decreased in Sohamhyungtang group and Gamisohamhyungtang group.
3) The content of Phospholipid in the serum was not significantly decreased in Sohamhyungtang group and Gamisohamhyungtang group.
4) The content of Free Fatty Acid in the serum was significantly decreased in Sohamhyungtang group. Whereas in Gamisohamhyungtang group tended to decreased compared with control group, but did not show a significance.
5) the contents of HDL-Cholesterol and LDL-Cholesterol in the serum were not significantly decreased in Sohamhyungtang group and Gamisohamhyungtang group.
6) The S. H. R. S Weight was significantly decreased only Gamisohamhyungtang group, but not Sohamhyungtang group.
7) The S. H. R. 's Blood Pressure was significantly decreased only Gamisohamhyungtang group, but not Sohamhyungtnag group.
8) The S.H.R.'s Heart Beat was not all significantly decreased Sohamhyungtang group and Gamisohamhyungtang group.
According to the above results, it is assumed that Sohamhyungtang and Gamisohamhyungtang have a valid effect on Hyperlipidemia.
